Charles Taze Russell incorporated this religion to sell books and magazines. Throughout its 140 year history, how many books, Bibles, magazines, and real estate properties have been sold?
The Watchtower Society pays no taxes and all labor is done by volunteers. It owns stocks and invests in Hedge Funds. Just like a corporation, they lay off workers to reduce medical costs. After long-serving Bethel members and Circuit/ District Overseers reach a certain age, they are pushed out for much younger members whose medical costs won't be a burden. The Watchtower Society is reducing personnel, publications, and projects because of all the pedophile lawsuits.
I believe the Watchtower Society is run by a group of lawyers and owned by a corporation whose identity will never be discovered. The Governing Body members are used as a front by this unknown corporation.

''We also deeply appreciated your “loving labor” in connection with the construction of various theocratic facilities around the world. We urgently need such facilities, as the number of Jehovah’s people continues to increase. (Isa. 60:22) Just imagine, our peak publishers this past year was 8,201,545, while our Bible studies averaged 9,499,933 each month. As a result of the increase, many branch offices are in need of expansion or renovation. Of course, this also means that we need more Kingdom Halls! At the same time, remote translation offices are needed in many parts of the earth so that our translators can live and work in the area where their language is spoken.''
Here is a somber Samuel Herd ( the smug smile is gone from the above photo) reading an announcement on how this joyful letter ( that was printed in the ''2015 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses) really worked out!
Please, Mr. Herd, tell the Bethel family and worldwide members that facilities were constructed, branch offices expanded or renovated, and new Kingdom Halls built with their '' dedicated funds''?

Lessons We Can Learn From the Book of Leviticus
16 Satan and his world have done much to make the work of that faithful slave challenging, even impossible, to carry out from a human standpoint. Despite two world wars, relentless persecution, global economic crises, and unjust treatment, the faithful and discreet slave has continued to provide spiritual food for Christ’s followers on earth. Think of the abundance of spiritual food available today, free of charge, in more than 900 languages! It is undeniable evidence of divine backing. Consider further proof of Jehovah’s blessing: the preaching work. The good news truly is being preached “in all the inhabited earth.” (Matt. 24:14) Without a doubt, Jehovah is guiding and generously blessing his organization today.

Oh, I don't know about that! The Watchtower Society has 87 Branches, 119,954 Kingdom Halls around the world. Only a few Communist Countries make the preaching work difficult. Who made it challenging when the Society sold properties ( bought and paid for by congregation members) in the billions of dollars? Where did the billions of dollars go?

Really! Every person that went through World World I and II suffered. What are some examples the Society suffered during these two wars? What Society projects came to a halt during these years?

Exaggerate much, Watchtower Society! Besides imprisoning some members, banning the preaching work and driving some to preach underground in some countries (throughout its 140-year history), that cannot be called, RELENTLESS!

Care to give us some examples? The Society has properties all over the world, have the freedom to preach in almost all countries, pay no taxes on all donations received and sell all properties ( which the congregation members contribute and build) with no accounting on where the money goes.

'' We are living in the last of the last days."
4 We know some things about the declaration of “peace and security.” However, other things we do not know. We do not know what will lead up to it or how the declaration will be made. And we do not know whether it will involve just one proclamation or a series of announcements. Whatever happens, we do know this: We should not be fooled into thinking that world leaders can actually achieve world peace. Rather, it is that declaration that we have been told to watch for. It is the signal that “Jehovah’s day” is about to begin!

When was it time for you to walk away from your congregation meetings and the WTBTS?

i stopped (years before) field service, the ministry school, answering at the watchtower studies, missed numerous meetings and walked in minutes before the meetings started and left after the closing prayer, i knew it was time to leave.

The basic virtue for a human being is to be true to yourself – the integrity of thought, emotion, and action.
Ten years ago ( after 32 years as a Jehovah's Witness), I finally decided that my own mental sanity and being true to myself was more important than attending congregation meetings and serving the Watchtower Society.
I stopped (years before) field service, the Ministry School, answering at the Watchtower studies, missed numerous meetings and walked in minutes before the meetings started and left after the closing prayer, I knew it was time to leave. I hated myself for putting on a front to please my family. Once I knew ''the truth about the truth,'' I no longer enjoyed attending the meetings like most of my congregation members and family did.
''Let the chips fall where they may'' was my new motto. After numerous visits from Elders, Circuit and District Overseers, they finally left me alone.
Being true to myself was the only thing that mattered then and today!

(2 Tim. 3:1) All of us have heard about the events that Jesus foretold for this time. More Than 165,000 Literature Carts
The house-to-house activity is still the primary way in which the Witnesses make known Bible truth. Yet, literature carts have proved to be very effective. Consider some examples.
In Peru, a man named Raul approached the Witnesses at one of the carts and said: “Where have you been? I’ve been looking for the Witnesses for three years! When I saw your cart, I thanked God.”
Though the area where he lived was often visited by Jehovah’s Witnesses, Raul was never at home during the day or on weekends. He explained that he had previously studied the Bible with the Witnesses, and he wanted to resume his study. Arrangements were made for him to do so.So, (made up) Raul, lives in an area where Witnesses often preach house-to-house ( Raul never seems to be at home), (supposedly) had a Jehovah's Witness Bible study at one time, ( miraculously) walks near a literature cart and approaches a Jehovah's Witness with these words:
“Where have you been? I’ve been looking for the Witnesses for three years! When I saw your cart, I thanked God.”
Raul: For your information, there are telephone books and internet sites which would have led you to find the Jehovah's Witnesses faster than the three long years it took you to find a literature cart.

- How to Witness Using a Literature Display
How to Witness Using a Literature Display
Witnessing with a mobile cart or a table display is proving to be very effective in drawing honest hearted ones to the truth. (John 6:44) Therefore, elders have been encouraged to organize public witnessing in areas of the congregation’s territory where there is high pedestrian traffic. Since mobile displays are not stationary, generally there is no need to ask permission from the authorities. Who are qualified to participate? Publishers who demonstrate good judgment, present themselves in a dignified way, and have good conversation skills. The following are some dos and don’ts that will help publishers have more success.
Do:Be friendly, welcoming, and helpful to passersby. Some publishers give a warm, genuine smile and say a friendly greeting. If someone looks at the display as he passes by, you might say, “You can take something if you like.”
Stand at an appropriate distance from the display. In some places publishers experience success when they stand within a few feet of the display. Others find that this method makes passersby hesitant to stop, so they stand a little farther away and wait until someone stops at the display. Once a person approaches the display, try to engage him in conversation, perhaps by asking, “Have you ever thought about that question before?”
Use the Bible as often as possible.
Explain the Bible study arrangement to anyone who takes one of our study publications, such as the Bible Teach book. Offer to play the video Why Study the Bible? on an electronic device.
Obtain contact information from interested ones when possible. If the person does not live in your territory, fill out a Please Follow Up (S-43) form, and give it to the secretary as soon as possible.
Don’t:Be aggressive, insistent, or pushy or stand next to the display like a sentinel.
View this form of witnessing as simply a way to distribute literature. When we are in the ministry, our goal is to start Bible studies, so we should try to engage individuals in conversation.
Block the display or become too engrossed in conversation with your partner. If you must use your cell phone for a personal call, it is usually best to step away from the display.
Get involved in debates with opposers. If an opposer becomes abusive, it may be necessary to move to another location.
